Studies have shown that children enrolled in high quality early childhood programs tend to do better socially and emotionally and show higher verbal and intellectual development during early childhood.

Surry County Child Care Resource and Referral makes unbiased referrals, not recommendations. We understand that families have different ideas of what is the best care for children. Ultimately, parents must decide what will be the highest quality, most affordable and most accessible child care for their own families. We assist them in making informed decisions.

Surry County Child Care Resource and Referral is unbiased with regard to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, handicap or national origin.

Our office also offers a Resource Library - available to parents & provider - featuring activity kits, training videos and books on child development and other subjects.  Resource Library hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Please call 786-1880 to make sure staff are available to help.
